The banking crisis has spread to bankers’ pockets. In February, most European banks pay their “golden thanks” to financial professionals such as analysts, traders and bankers. This year, some bonuses were as much as three quarters down on last year, according to the Centre for Economics and Research in London. The average drop in bonus is expected to be 16 per cent. Bonuses range from £100,000 (about €135,000) to £195,00, for analysts and traders. For senior bankers, they can rise to several million pounds....
